Well finally I am home!!! Feels sooo good to be home! But to get here I went through some painful events. So lets start from the beginning.

First I had a suitcase that weighed a ton and a backpack that weighed the other ton! Armed with these 2 items I started my journey from Gnillot's place (HI GNILLOT!!!). Everything was fine and dandy. We had looked up the train time and put down the route for me to get to Gatwick Airport.

So we marched to the train station. Bought a ticket. Waited for the train to arrive. Chatting merrily and a bit sadly since I did not want to leave Gnillot at all. And then the train came. And it was so full you couldn't even fit a sheet of paper between the people on it!! So, I did not get on the train. Bummer.

Recalculating we decided to take on a walk to the other station. After 20 or so minute walk we arrived there (Thanks Gnillot for helping me drag my junk!) This is where a bit of luck kicked in. The train was late!!! When it finally arrived, like 1 minute after we arrived at the station, it was also empty enough for me to get on it!!! YAY! Said good-bye to Gnillot. Thanked her for taking me in for the weekend and gave her a hug and off I was on my journey to Gatwick.

Got off the train at Seven Sisters and switched to Victoria line. To my immense surprise it was empty! WOW! Took a seat, made me comfortable and enjoyed the empty train. Little did I know that it will not last! Reaching Kings Cross and Pancreas the train suddenly became pregnant with people!!! I mean there were LOTS! After keeping my ears open to find out what on earth is going on I found out that NFL (I am ignorant but guessing it means: National Football League?) had become to London and everyone is going to see a game.

It was weird to see people get jumped over if someone wanted to get off the train. Then - a moment of bliss. 'The whole pack of crazed game goers got off at Green Park! YAY! Pregnant train suddenly became un-pregnant again. Excellent.

So the rest of the trip to Victoria was uneventful. The trip from Victoria to Gatwick was equally uneventful. Despite the train problems at the start of my journey I managed to get there in time and check in and everything. So, I passed the security check point and looked up at the board and discovered my flight delayed from 6 pm to 7.20 pm. Fair enough.

Started rummaging around the stores. Finally bought me an adapter to change from visitor to UK (mine blew a fuse and it aint gonna be my last visit to UK!). Bought me a coffee and 2 muffins. Ate one tucked the second one away to be eaten on the plane. Took a seat and waited then to board. It got to 7pm .. and then 7.10 pm ... and then the flight was delayed until 8 pm. Damn ...

Sat, doing nothing. Read a book. 10 minutes later. Delayed to 8.40 pm! God damn it! At this point the later plane to Tallinn, Estonia the 8 pm plance closed Gate and took off towards Home and my earlier flight was still delayed! Bloody hell! So Asked a lady to keep an eye on my Stuff and took my MasterCard and stomped towards WHSmith and bought myself 2 Marian Keyes books (you know, to comfort myself!). Stomped back and sat down and started reading.

Now time passes ... I look up, it is 8.30 pm and board still tells me Delayed to 8.40 pm. At this point it becomes clear that 8.40 pm aint happening. But 5 minutes later they announce a gate!!! WEEEE!!! Went to the gate, the board yelling: BOARDING!; got to the gate ...  nothing ... sat down and prepared myself for another wait. Board yelling: CLOSING GATE! The friggin gate has not yet even opened!

Then a lady comes on and announces another 20 minute delay. Oh Jesus Christ, what do I have to do to get home around here!? So sat there, next to the gate for another 30 minutes. Eventually boarding starts. Gate closes for real and the plane captain almost backs up into a ditch followed by a burning smell. Avoids it though (the ditch that it, the smell goes away) and we start our long drive around the airport. Looking for a place to take off at. It is past 10pm ...

After a looong flight we finally land. Home, sweet home. It is 2.30 am Tallinn time. I get off the plane. My luggage is of course among the last suitcases to arrive and then I can finally start my journey home from the airport. I enter the door of my apartment after 3 am (thanks to some coworkers on the plane who give me a ride home).

And now, since I have been awake long enough and because life has been slowly drained out of me, I have lost my sleep. I feel numb. Apathetic even. Still, I shoulf make myself go to bed soon. It's great to be home!!
